Tento text se soustředí na mzdy mediánové, které nejsou oproti průměrům citlivé na extrémní maxima a minima a lépe charakterizují skutečnou střední hodnotu. Gender Pay Gap (GPG) je potom ukazatelem, který říká, jaká je mzdová diferenciace podle pohlaví, kde platy mužů jsou položeny za základ (100 %) a od tohoto základu je odečten procentuální podíl mezd žen vztažených ke mzdám mužů. Eurofound (2002) publikoval podnětnou studii zabývající se efektem firemních programů na podporu rovnosti. Je zřejmé, že v některých případech se vyskytly problémy s měřením (nedostatečně dlouhá doba fungování programu, chybějící nástroje měření) či nedostatečná objektivita výpovědí (subjektivní hodnocení manažerů a manažerek a zaměstnanců a zaměstnankyň). Přesto studie zajímavě ukazuje, na jaké oblasti je možné se zaměřit, chceme-li se zabývat přínosem programů na podporu rovných šancí. Více

We focus on the lesser known long-term trends and indicate how the hidden potential of the labor force in the Czech Republic might be unlocked. Czech women, who occupy a unique position in the job market, are in a particularly interesting situation. The musician Little Annie has belonged to the top of the New York’s avantgarde scene for over thirty years. She first performed in the Czech Republic in 2010 on the premises of Malostranska beseda in Prague. Her second concert in Prague took place in September 2012 and Gender Studies, o.p.s. was at it.
